Leeds United are convinced that Southampton outcast Che Adams is keen to join them during the January transfer window.
The Mirror is reporting that the Whites are refusing to give up on signing the striker on loan before the month is out.
Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has ruled out his player leaving on loan. Adams only arrived at St Mary’s during the summer, costing £15 million from Birmingham City (Mirror).

Leeds are desperate to bolster their attacking ranks this month. Following Eddie Nketiah’s return to Arsenal, Patrick Bamford is the only senior striker in Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.
Adams has not really hit the ground running at Southampton. He has started eight games for the Saints but is yet to hit the back of the net.
Pinning down a regular place in the team has proved problematic and a move still isn’t beyond the realms of possibility.
Leeds are currently top of the Championship and they will hope to finally secure a place in the Premier League this season.
Bielsa’s team were way out in front last season but some horrendous form after Christmas ensured they had to settle for the play-offs.
Adams arriving at Elland Road would go a long way towards history not repeating itself.
TBR View – Leeds might be forced to play the long game with Adams
Hasenhuttl might be defiant about keeping Adams right now but his stance could change.

If the Saints boss lands any targets of his own then Adams might be allowed to join Leeds for the rest of the season.
Bielsa would welcome the all-action forward into his ranks but he might just have to let the transfer window take shape a little bit.
Leeds have a nice cushion between them and third and signing Adams wouldn’t be the be-all and end-all anyway.
