Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa joins legendary figures Don Revie and Dick Ray with away record

Leeds United picked up a 2-0 win over Barnsley at the weekend, which took the Whites back to the top of the Championship. It was also yet another win on the road for Leeds, who are enjoying a fine run of form on the road. 

In fact, Leeds have won their last six competitive games away from home, following their 3-2 defeat at Ipswich Town in May. 

That is quite the record, in fact, it has levelled a record at Leeds United. 

As shown by this tweet from bookmaker William Hill, the feat has only been pulled off by two other managers at Leeds. 

Bielsa is certainly joining an elite group with this latest achievement. 

Dick Ray was the club’s first-ever manager back in 2019. Don Revie, meanwhile, is considered the club’s greatest ever manager. He led Leeds from 1961 until 1974 and won the First Division on two occasions as well as the FA Cup in 1972. 

Leeds United’s current boss is now beginning to sew his own name into the club’s folklore/ Leeds are at home in their next game, as they look for revenge over play-off conquerors Derby County. 

But Bielsa will be hoping to make it seven away wins on the bounce when they take on Lee Bowyer’s Charlton Athletic on the 28th of September.
