Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur have missed out on talented Swedish youngster Robin Glavak, according to reports in his homeland.
Goteborgs-Posten reported over the weekend that the 16-year-old centre-back has signed professional terms with his current club Orgryte, who play in Sweden’s second tier. The report states that Leeds have been interested in the player.
The player stated he is ‘in no hurry to move abroad’ and declared his contentment to remain at his hometown club for the time being.

Sport Witness quoted the news outlet’s print edition from the weekend as also mentioning interest from Tottenham Hotspur, along with clubs in Italy. He even had a week at Spurs, whilst Spanish side Real Sociedad were also keen.
TBR’s View
Leeds United have a strong history of signing Swedish players even if some in recent memory, Marcus Antonsson and Pawel Cibicki for example, have failed to set Elland Road alight.
Whilst Glavak would not have been an instant option for Leeds in the first-team it is shame they have not brought in what seems to be a very talented young player.
Hopefully, the teenager can now continue to improve his game in the comforts of home and in a few year’s time, Leeds United and co might have to rekindle their interest.
