Preston North End midfielder Alan Browne has told the Lancashire Post that he believes the media make Leeds United out to be ‘world-class’.
The Whites travel to Deepdale this evening knowing that a win is necessary to go back above Sheffield United in the league.
Alex Neil’s team have already defeated Leeds this season. They ran out 2-0 victors in the EFL Cup back in August.

They lost the return Championship fixture, however, but Browne thinks tonight will be a different game.
He told the Lancashire Post: “I don’t think Leeds are world-beaters, to be honest. I think the media make them out to be this world-class team.
“They’re a good team, they beat us at their place and were great. We were nowhere near it that night and I think this one will be totally different – I hope so anyway.”
After losing 1-0 to Birmingham at the weekend Leeds can ill-afford any more disappointing results.
TBR Verdict
These comments smack of sour-grapes from Browne at the media coverage that Leeds receive.
In Marcelo Bielsa, the Whites have a manager who is world renowned so it’s only natural they get slightly more coverage.

Browne has been cute with these comments, however.
He knows that Leeds can’t afford to lose this evening, whilst Preston desperately need points to keep their season alive.
Bielsa will be wise to pin this on the wall and ram Browne’s words firmly back down his throat this evening.
