Leeds United are on the cusp of promotion to the Premier League, even despite the stoppage of play due to the coronavirus outbreak, and one Leeds teenager has stated his desire to play for the Whites in England’s top tier on Instagram.

Nohan Kenneh, 17, is one of Leeds’ highest-rated talents at his age currently progressing through the ranks with a first-team debut the goal. Indeed, Kenneh is already a regular for England’s under-17 side.

Leeds fans will recognise the name from the Whites’ impressive FA Youth Cup run – which saw Mark Jackson’s side reach the fifth round against Manchester United, ultimately losing 1-0 at Old Trafford. 1400 Leeds fans made the trip to Manchester.

Kenneh, who can play at cenrte-back or in central midfield, already has nine caps for England’s Under-17 side and he staged a Q&A on his Instagram story. He responded to a fan, who is hoping to see Kenneh play for Leeds in the top flight.

TBR’s view – Is a Leeds debut for Kenneh a real possibility?

If a Leeds player is to break into the senior side under Marcelo Bielsa, then he probably needs to be able to play at centre-back – where the Whites are lacking in cover. Kenneh certainly does that, but can also offer more than just that.

Kenneh would also be able to cover Kalvin Phillips, with the Leeds star notching up the odd suspension. The fact Kenneh is already a regular in the England sides says everything. The teenager has a bright future, and it could well be for Leeds.
