Leeds United are reportedly one of four teams that are in a battle for a January transfer raid from Premier League club Fulham.

According to BirminghamLive, Fulham are looking at offloading Stefan Johansen, Floyd Ayite and Neeskens Kebano this month.

It is understood that Leeds, West Brom, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough have all spoken with Fulham about the available trio.

Leeds should focus on their attention on Johansen and it would be an immense feat if they can win the race for his signature.

The 28-year-old midfielder hasn’t quite had the best campaign in the top flight at Craven Cottage, but could add some real steel to Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.

Johansen is a central midfielder that won promotion with Fulham last season from the Championship and proved his quality in the division.

The Norway international plays in the centre of the park by trade, but can play further forward and make an impact in the final third.

He scored eight goals and supplied nine assists last season across all competitions to prove that.

Leeds would appear to have their work cut out to sign the in-demand ace, but it would be worth the hassle and he’s a ready-made option to bring into the squad.

Johansen is a box-to-box operator that could immediately push for a starting position in Bielsa’s team and help with a push for promotion.
