Leeds United are indeed interested in Lewis O’Brien as Marcelo Bielsa sets his sights on strengthening his midfield ranks, according to The Athletic.
O’Brien is an intriguing target for the Whites. He is currently plying his trade in the Championship with Carlos Corberan’s Huddersfield Town.

It would be a considerable step up if he did make the switch to Elland Road. But he does tick a few boxes for Bielsa.
He is incredibly versatile. As well as playing in central midfield last year, he also featured all the way down the left flank.
And of course, he is only 22, so he has plenty of room for improvement.
Admittedly, some fans may have their doubts about a move. Obviously, it is not ideal that he would be joining from Huddersfield.
But O’Brien has done something that has ensured that he has the smallest spot in Leeds folklore already.

Whites fans will recall their promotion to the Premier League in 2020 was sealed the night West Brom travelled to Huddersfield.
A draw was good enough for Bielsa’s men. And as the final minutes loomed, the game was tied at 1-1.
But O’Brien more than played his part in ensuring that Leeds could celebrate sooner.
“What a goal“: Lewis O’Brien with assist for goal that confirmed Leeds’ promotion
The midfielder collected the ball in the middle of the park and evaded one hefty challenge before playing a brilliant pass into the path of Emile Smith Rowe.
Smith Rowe slid the ball into the bottom corner for the winner. Leeds found themselves across the line.
Obviously, the Whites did not need that final goal. But it really quashed any hope West Brom had of preventing Bielsa’s men going up that evening.
And O’Brien was pivotal to it. It was a sublime run and pass into Smith Rowe.
And perhaps it may be something Leeds fans could expect to see a lot more of in the coming years judging by reports claiming they want the youngster.
