Leeds would be pulling off a huge coup if they managed to sign reported target Ibai Gomez in January from Spanish top-flight club Alaves.
According to Goal, Marceo Bielsa wants a reunion with the Spanish attacker he used to work alongside at Athletic Bilbao.
It is understood that Leeds want to try land the 28-year-old in January and are confident of wrapping up a deal, as his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
The Yorkshire giants should go all out to try sign the right-winger, who could be the difference in a push for promotion in the second half of the campaign.
Gomez is an experienced player that has been in Spanish top flight for most of his career and a switch to Elland Road to join Bielsa would raise a few eyebrows.

The dazzling wide man is currently performing well for Alaves, who are remarkably third-placed in the La Liga table after a blistering start.
He’s already chipped in with three goals and an assist in the opening nine league games, which is why a switch to England’s second-tier would be a strange one.
But Bielsa has a phenomenal pulling power and his contract situation at Alaves suggests there is a possibility that this could take place.
Leeds are perhaps just one creative playmaker away from fulfilling their dream of a return to the Premier League and Gomez could help them get closer if he ditches Spain for England.
