Leeds United needed a big result and performance against Swansea last night to get back on track after a rocky run of recent form and that’s exactly what they got.

A 2-1 victory over the Swans takes Marcelo Bielsa’s men back to the Championship summit as Norwich crashed to a 3-1 defeat against Preston.

Pontus Jansson set the ball rolling for the Whites at Elland Road last night as he opened the scoring to celebrate his birthday in perfect style.

Jack Harrison added a second before half time before Oliver McBurnie’s late penalty set up a nervy finish, as Leeds got exactly what they needed.

Jansson took to Twitter after the crucial win to praise the unity within the squad and the supporters loved it on a night where their promotion bid got a much-needed boost.

A cheeky celebration was also in view when the Sweden international found the back of the net and Bielsa’s men look like they’re enjoying themselves once more – and so are the supporters.
