Leeds striker Kemar Roofe has already tormented play-off opponent Derby twice this season

Leeds United are currently preparing for the Championship play-offs and they will take on Derby County on Saturday evening.

Marcelo Bielsa’s team are away to Derby in the first leg of their semi-final and host them at Elland Road four days later for the second leg.

The Yorkshire giants finished third in the league season to just miss out on automatic promotion and will now have to go through the play-offs to try reach the Premier League.

With Patrick Bamford suspended for the first leg, it looks like attacking dazzler Kemar Roofe could be in line to start for Leeds.

The £3million signing (BBC) has had his season disrupted by a spate of injuries, but has still managed 14 goals in 33 games across all competitions this term.

Roofe has looked an ideal fit at striker in Bielsa’s side with his pace and energy, but hasn’t found the back of the net since January.

He should be positive ahead of the two-legged tie with Derby though, as he’s been their chief tormentor this season.

Leeds won 4-1 away at Derby in the league back in August, while they secured a 2-0 victory in January at home in the reverse fixture.

Roofe scored three times across the two games to punish the Rams backline and his intelligent movement proved too much to handle.

This weekend would be the perfect time for the English centre-forward to rediscover his goalscoring touch and he’s proven he can wreck havoc on Frank Lampard’s side.
