Leeds star Rodrigo hints at return to training on Instagram

Rodrigo Moreno may have hinted on Instagram that he may not be far away from handing Leeds United a boost as he posted photos of himself in training on Monday.

Leeds have been without Rodrigo since the early stages of their win over Leicester last month. He could not carry on after accidentally over-stretching while trying to win the ball.

The Spain international has now missed Leeds’s last three games. And Marcelo Bielsa has not yet offered a clear indiction of when he may return.

As reported by Goal at the start of the month, he did suggest Rodrigo was likely to be out for weeks rather than days.

But perhaps, there may now be better news on the summer signing. The forward has taken to Instagram to post a small update on his fitness…

He gives little away. But reading between the lines – unless the photo is an old one – he is back out on the grass, which is certainly an encouraging sign.

Of course, it would be a surprise if he was really close to returning. The under-23s played on Monday. So if he was getting there, he would have surely played some part for Mark Jackson’s side.

But it is difficult to see how his social media post could be anything other than a positive update – even if he still has a little while to go before he is back in contention.
