Premier League side Burnley are reportedly interested in signing Leeds United midfielder Matuesz Klich this summer and the Polish star’s latest Tweet may have hinted that he could be willing to leave Elland Road.
The Sun claimed that Burnley are interested in the 29-year-old midfielder after he shone in Marcelo Bielsa’s side last season, playing every single one of Leeds’ 48 Championship fixtures, including play-offs.
Klich found the back of the net 10 times from the middle of the park, including an excellent effort and Leeds goal of the season against Sheffield Wednesday. He also laid on nine assists.
But for some reason, the Whites are yet to offer the Poland international a new contract – despite entering the final 12 months of his current deal. It is believed there is the option to offer an extension of another year.
Now, Burnley have become interested and are keen on landing Klich before the end of the window. The midfielder was left behind, as were many other first-teamers, from Leeds trip to Australia over the weekend.
Klich hinted that he was not particularly happy with the decision to leave him out of the Australia trip on Twitter, responding “No, at Thorp Arch” to a club Tweet about whether fans would be travelling to Australia.
No, at thorp arch.

Leeds have left key players Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Gjanni Alioski, Luke Ayling, Tyler Roberts and new signings Jack Clarke, Helder Costa and Ben White at home, along with Klich.
But the former FC Twente midfielder does not seem best impressed at the decision. Now with Burnley lurking, could the Clarets find it easier to tempt Klich into a move to the Premier League this summer?
There is no doubt that Klich is Premier League standard and he showed that last season. If Leeds are to keep him, they seriously need to offer the midfielder a new deal and make him happy again.
With 12 months left, signs of unhappiness on Twitter and Burnley keen, Klich looks like he could be off.
