Junior Firpo has told DAZN that winning a league title with Real Betis would be a dream for the Leeds United star – and interestingly, he has provided an idea of when he would like to return to his former club.
Junior is the marquee addition the Whites have made to their squad this summer.

The 24-year-old arrived for around £13 million from Barcelona. It looked to be a real coup for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, particularly with Leeds losing potential left-back option Gjanni Alioski.
Junior signed a four-year deal at Elland Road. And perhaps, Leeds fans should not expect any lengthy contract extensions in the future.
The Spaniard joined Barca from Real Betis in 2019. He spent around five years on the books with the Verdiblancos.

And he has suggested that he is already thinking of returning at some stage – and not when he is into the twilight of his career either.
“Yes, I would like to return to Betis one day. It is something that I have in mind. And I don’t want to go back older, I want to go back still being in my fullness. For me, winning a title with Betis would be the best,” he told DAZN.
“I don’t fool people, I don’t have pictures as a little boy with Betis, I wasn’t Betis when I was little, in fact I didn’t like football and my father pointed me out to make friends, but the four or five years that I spent there … I couldn’t explain it to you, they have entered my heart; the way the club treated me, the fans … even when I returned to Barça.”
Leeds fans will hope Junior Firpo can return to Spain off the back of huge impact in Premier League
Of course, Leeds fans are unlikely to take umbrage with what Junior has said. It is common for players to have a club that is close to their heart.
And obviously, with Junior, he has only just arrived through the door at Leeds. So he has not had the time to build that bond with his new club.
He could still be playing at an incredibly high level in six or seven years. So there is no reason why he cannot enjoy a superb, lengthy spell with Leeds before returning to Betis.
For now, his focus will be on helping Leeds kick on in their second year back in the top flight.
