Leeds United outcast Eunan O’Kane has finally returned to training after almost eight months on the sidelines, posting an update on his Instagram story.
O’Kane, 28, has been sidelined since the middle of September. Just four appearances into a loan spell at League One leaders Luton Town, the Ireland international fractured both his tibia and fibula.
It saw the midfielder return to Elland Road just a few weeks after leaving the club to move to Luton. He has since been working on his recovery at Leeds, and undergoing extensive rehabilitation.
The former Bournemouth star, who has two years remaining on his contract at Elland Road, informed fans over the weekend that he was returning to training after a difficult 2018-19 campaign.

TBR’s view
It is clear that O’Kane has little future at Elland Road, after being ostracised by Marcelo Bielsa despite making 58 appearances for the Whites in two seasons.
The chances of Leeds selling O’Kane for a fee are small. A year out is likely to hamper his chances of playing in the Championship, too. With two years still on his contract, O’Kane needs a loan.
Another loan to a League One side is crucial. But right now, O’Kane has to work his way back to fitness and regain some match sharpness with the club’s Under-23 side and in pre-season.
