Despite the current scenario surrounding football, there is every chance Leeds United will finally be promoted and they should target Karlan Grant as a priority.
The Huddersfield striker has fired in an impressive 16 goals this season for the struggling Terriers.

Grant has looked a cut above most of his teammates throughout the campaign. Indeed, at just 22, it would appear the sky is the limit for for the forward.
Indeed, both Aston Villa and Leeds’ promotion rivals, West Brom, have been credited with an interest in Grant in the last week or so.
It’s therefore looking pretty much nailed on that Grant will be a wanted man in the summer. Leeds, then, cannot afford to let him slip through their fingers if they do indeed go up.
Leeds need more than Patrick Bamford
The sale of Kemar Roofe was an odd one but one that appears to have worked out for Marcelo Bielsa.
However, in the Premier League, Leeds will need more up front. They simply can’t just rely on Patrick Bamford to carry the load all season in the top-flight.

Bamford’s Premier League record is pretty abysmal at the moment. Spells with Norwich, Burnley, and Crystal Palace have yielded just a single goal. Furthermore, Chelsea never really gave him his chance, suggesting they saw he might never quite be up to it.
Signing someone like Karlan Grant can lift the weight off Bamford’s shoulders. The last thing he wants is to go into the season being expected to score the goals to keep Leeds up.
Proven ability and getting better
Sometimes a player comes along in the Championship who just appears to have that top-flight pedigree.
Grant looks every bit that player and more. It’s not just his goals either. He’s contributed four assists to the Huddersfield cause too. To put this into perspective, that means Grant has been directly involved in just under half of the Terriers’ Championship goals (45).

Leeds will have to invest in the summer to keep progressing. Other positions will require strengthening as well.
However, when it comes to attacking areas, the signing of Grant would be the ideal place to start.
