Leeds should join race for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah

Leeds United are yet to bring in any new faces for next season and need some fresh bodies if they are to reignite a promotion bid.

The Whites missed out on Championship promotion in the play-offs, but finished third in the league campaign and have an excellent core group of players at Elland Road.

Manager Marcelo Bielsa has Patrick Bamford and Kemar Roofe as his main senior options at striker, but both suffered injuries last campaign and could do with fresh competition.

The Yorkshire club should draw their attention to Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.

According to the Mirror, Premier League giants Arsenal are prepared to allow the 20-year-old leave the Emirates Stadium next season on loan.

The report details that League One play-off winners Charlton Athletic are the most likely candidates to sign him, but would have to act quickly as their may be more completion from other Championship sides or teams abroad.

Leeds should throw their name into the hat for the English centre-forward, as he’s got immense potential and could be a great hit at Elland Road.

Nketiah is a dazzling attacker that mainly plays through the centre, but can also slot in out wide if needed.

He’s a speed machine that has been clinical at youth level and also been given a taste of first-team football too at Arsenal.

The striker has three goals in 19 senior games for the Gunners, with experience of both Premier League and European football already under his belt.

Leeds would landing a real gem in Nketiah if they consider him on loan, as he’s someone that looks ready to burst onto the scene and should terrorise some defences in the Championship.
