With Brentford’s Rico Henry linked with a potential summer exit, Leeds United should consider putting him on their transfer radar.
As it stands, the Whites need to find a replacement for left-back Ezgjan Alioski, whose contract expires at Elland Road at the end of this season.
Marcelo Bielsa’s team are all-but safe for another year in the Premier League after a superb campaign so far, and attention should be focusing on strengthening the squad in the summer to turn them into an established top-flight club once again.
Henry, 23, is one of the star players at Championship club Brentford.
According to the Evening Standard, Premier League club Southampton lead interest for the English left-back.
The report states that he could cost around £12-15million if Brentford decide to sell him, with his current deal at Griffin Park expiring in 2023.
If Leeds can try push for a deal near to the quoted £12million fee, it’s a no-brainer, and a potential bargain.

Henry, who is currently sidelined through injury, has become such a pivotal figure at Brentford since he joined them back in 2016.
He’s an attack-minded full-back with so much pace and energy to go forward, while with his back to goal he’s tenacious defensively.
Ollie Watkins has been the prime example this year of a player stepping up successfully from Brentford to the Premier League with Aston Villa, and as a result he’s now made his England debut.
Henry has consistently been one of the top Championship defenders, which is why he deserves a chance in the top division.
He ticks a lot of boxes for Leeds in terms of his athleticism and speed. Additionally, the left-back would be filling a much-needed position in the squad.
It’s also worth noting that Henry’s agent, YMU Group, also represent ex-Leeds player Kemar Roofe, so will have already dealt with the Yorkshire club.
