Pontus Jansson will miss three weeks of action after suffering an injury against Sheffield United, Leeds United’s official website has confirmed.

The Swedish defender has picked up a knee injury which will force him to withdraw from international duty.

Rehab will commence this week as the Leeds physio team tries to get the 28-year-old back on the pitch for the promotion run-in.

Leeds have decided not to appeal against Kiko Casilla’s one-match ban after the goalkeeper was sent off against Sheffield United, The Yorkshire Post reports.

The Spaniard was dismissed in stoppage time in the 1-0 loss against the Blades for a foul on Billy Sharp.

Marcelo Bielsa had toyed with the idea of appealing but Leeds have decided against, meaning Bailey Peacock-Farrell will play against Millwall after the international break.

Athletic Bilbao will not renew Leeds target Ander Iturraspe’s contract when it expires this summer, Spanish media outlet OK Diario claims.

The 30-year-old has been limited to just two appearances this season in an injury hit campaign and he will be allowed to move.

Bielsa has been linked with a reunion with the ex-Spain international (Basque AS via Sport Witness) on a free transfer.
