Leeds round-up: Injury update on Roofe, Forshaw and Clarke, Bogusz reportedly training with first-team, Klich on Hernandez

Marcelo Bielsa has provided an injury update on three Leeds first-team stars in his pre-match press conference, The Yorkshire Post journalist Phil Hay reports.

Jack Clarke, 18, was taken ill against Middlesbrough last month and he will continue his comeback with minutes for the under-23 team tonight.

Bielsa added that midfielder Adam Forshaw and striker Kemar Roofe are both in the “final stages” of their injury comeback.

Mateusz Bogusz wins first-team promotion

Mateuz Bogusz only joined Leeds in January but it appears that he has been training with the first-team already, according to reports in the Polish media.

The Poland youth international’s agent – Lukasz Maciongowski – has told Sport that Leeds are very happy with the young striker and have called him up to first-team training.

Despite only just moving to England, the 17-year-old has already impressed fans with his performances for the under-23 team.

Mateusz Klich raves about Pablo Hernandez

Leeds midfielder Mateusz Klich rates team-mate Pablo Hernandez as the club’s best player and one of the best players in the league, Phil Hay reports.

Klich’s form has been impressive this season but Hernandez, 33, has stolen the show with 10 goals and 11 assists for Leeds.

Klich told the press conference: “I think Pablo is our best player. He’s probably one of the best in the league.”
