Arsenal enter Martinelli hunt

Arsenal are preparing a €5m bid for Leeds target Gabriel Martinelli, according to Goal.

The 17-year-old plays as a winger for Ituano and is being tracked by Brazilian top division clubs such as Corinthians, Flamengo and Palmeiras.

TEAMtalk recently linked Leeds and Watford with a swoop for the Brazilian teenager but Arsenal are hoping to win the race.

Leeds midfielder Pablo Hernandez wants to use pressure in a constructive way to get the title bid back on track, Leeds Live reports.

The Whites missed the chance to re-enter the top two in midweek when they lost 1-0 to out-of-sorts Queens Park Rangers.

But in his press conference ahead of the West Brom clash, Hernandez said: “It’s not easy for us but we know we have a good chance. We know we have pressure but we are professional players. We have a salary and the club pay us for this, to take this responsibility.”

West Brom could welcome three first-team players back into their match day squad as they travel to Elland Road tonight to take on Leeds, according to BBC Sport.

Ahmed Hegazi is expected to be fit again to bolster Darren Moore’s options in defence.

Meanwhile, Jacob Murphy and Hal Robson-Kanu face late fitness tests to ascertain whether they will be included.
