Leeds predicted lineup vs Southampton: Harrison replaces Raphinha
Leeds United fans face an anxious wait over a couple of players heading into Saturday’s Premier League clash with Southampton.
Kalvin Phillips withdrew from the England squad after sustaining a minor injury in the Whites’ win over Watford.
Raphinha meanwhile, is facing a race against time to get back for the weekend’s clash at St Mary’s. Brazil play their final World Cup qualifier on Friday, leaving the 24-year-old with less than two days between games.
Unfortunately, the turnaround may be just a little too short for Raphinha. And with that in mind, the £63,500-a-week star may be left out of the starting lineup.
That would present a golden opportunity to Jack Harrison, who has endured a difficult start since completing his £11 million permanent move in the summer.
Harrison lost his place to Dan James after testing positive for Covid before the draw with Newcastle. And James has done well since coming in.
What is encouraging for Harrison is James is yet to completely cement himself in the side. So the door is open for the Englishman to leap ahead of the summer signing with a stunning performance on the south coast.
Harrison replacing Raphinha may be the only change Marcelo Bielsa makes.

Jamie Shackleton is likely to keep his place at right-back. Meanwhile, Diego Llorente and Liam Cooper should continue at centre-back.
Rodrigo will surely start up front. He has looked bright without scoring this term. So he will hope to end his duck this time around.
With that in mind, here is how Leeds may line up for their clash with Southampton…
