Leeds predicted lineup vs Everton: Rodrigo returns to starting lineup

Leeds United will be looking to end a run of three games without a win this weekend as they take on an Everton side who have just recovered from a similar spell of form.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side were unable to beat Arsenal on Sunday. They hit the woodwork on several occasions. And Nicolas Pepe’s red card in the early stages of the second-half looked set to hand them a massive advantage.

What the sending off actually did however, was make it harder for both teams to win. Arsenal were happy to largely sit in and soak up pressure. And Leeds could not find the answers they needed to bag a winner.

They did come desperately close on a couple of occasions after the red card. Rodrigo hit the bar with one effort and came agonisingly close with another.

It was an encouraging performance from the Spaniard on his return to the side. He had missed their previous two games. But he seemed to take little time to get back up to speed after coming on in the second-half.

It would therefore, be little surprise to see Rodrigo – who earns around £58,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – start at Goodison Park.

The problem that leaves Bielsa with is who drops out of the team to make way for the 29-year-old.

And perhaps the safe bet would be Gjanni Alioski. Alioski has produced a couple of outstanding performances at left-back this season.

However, with Rodrigo returning in the middle, Stuart Dallas may be pushed back into the defence. And thus, Alioski may be the unlucky one.

Elsewhere, Raphinha may keep his place ahead of Helder Costa.

With that in mind, here is an early prediction on what Leeds may look like against Everton this weekend…
