Leeds predicted lineup vs Everton: Junior Firpo and Kalvin Phillips start
Here is our predicted lineup for Leeds United as they prepare for their opening home game of the season, against Everton.
Who will come in to the Leeds predicted lineup?
Leeds suffered a hugely disappointing defeat at Manchester United on the opening day of the new campaign.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side played some nice football at times. But there were a number of defensive errors. And they seemed to be punished on every occasion.
Of course, Bielsa is not going to make wholesale changes for the clash with the Toffees. But Leeds should be able to welcome one key player back.
Kalvin Phillips will surely start against Rafa Benitez’s men. Robin Koch struggled at times in his role on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Junior Firpo may get the opportunity to make his full debut.
Who may miss out?
With Phillips coming in, one of the centre-backs used at Old Trafford should miss out.
Liam Cooper will probably keep his place. So perhaps it may be Pascal Struijk who drops down to the bench with Koch moving to centre-back.
Meanwhile, with Junior starting at left-back, Stuart Dallas may move into the middle alongside Mateusz Klich.
Rodrigo was taken off at the break against Manchester United. The Spaniard was quite anonymous in the first-half.
So partnering Dallas and Klich may give Leeds more of a presence in the middle of the park.
With that in mind, here is how Leeds may line up at Elland Road…
