Leeds predicted lineup vs Arsenal: Key man returns for Whites

Leeds United fans would be forgiven for counting down the hours until they face Arsenal this weekend given the form Marcelo Bielsa’s side were in before the international break.

The Whites suffered two heavy defeats on the spin. So they may have welcomed a break that could provide some key players with a better chance of returning in time for their next game.

The likes of Kalvin Phillips and Diego Llorente have been sidelined with injury recently. Meanwhile, Rodrigo missed the defeat at Crystal Palace after testing positive for coronavirus.

It remains to be seen whether Phillips and Llorente will be ready to face the Gunners. But the good news for Leeds is that Rodrigo should be back available.

It would be a huge boost for Leeds if the Spaniard is ready to start. He has made an encouraging start to life at Elland Road. And his absence highlighted how important he has already become to the Whites.

As things stand, he may perhaps be involved in the one change Bielsa feels compelled to make. Gjanni Alioski could be the player to drop out, with Stuart Dallas returning to left-back.

Those plans could change if Phillips and Llorente are available. And Leeds fans will be hoping that Pablo Hernandez is also back in contention.

But for now, Bielsa may perhaps opt for just one swap for the visit of Mikel Arteta’s men…
