Leeds playmaker Samuel Saiz needs to run the show against Ipswich

Leeds United creator Samuel Saiz has been an important player at the start of the season, but it’s frustrating for supporters that he doesn’t score more goals.

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has excellent technical ability and should be netting on a regular basis within Marcelo Bielsa’s attacking side.

He has just one goal in 15 games across all competitions so far this campaign, which came in the EFL Cup against Bolton.

The Spaniard needs to find a ruthless streak to his game and that has to start on Tuesday night at home to Ipswich Town.

Leeds could climb from fifth to first in the Championship if they win and result go their way, but have just one victory in their last five league games.

Ipswich currently sit bottom of the league table and Leeds need to swarm all over them at Elland Road to assert their dominance.

They represent almost the perfect opponents for Saiz to score his first league goal of the season and he may just need one to act as a catalyst.

The Yorkshire giants are going to need goals from all over the park if they are to push for promotion and it’s about time Saiz kicked into full gear in that area of his game.

He managed nine in all competitions last campaign to prove he can deliver in front of goal and Bielsa needs him now.
