Leeds United are looking more likely than ever to sign PSG hotshot, Arnaud Kalimuendo, according to The Independent’s Reading the Game.
The Whites have been trying to get a deal over the line for Kalimuendo but there has been some hesitancy from the player’s end, despite reports of a £21m deal being agreed for the striker.
However, according to his week’s issue of Reading the Game, Kalimuendo is now increasingly drawn to the prospect of moving to Elland Road it’s claimed those close to the deal consider the transfer now ‘likely’ to happen. Further, Kalimuendo is also said to be seeing Leeds as an ‘increasingly attractive’ proposition.

It’s suggested that £17m bid is still on the table from Leeds and remains under consideration. Of course, PSG aren’t exactly desperate for money, so that offer is likely to have little trouble getting approved.
For Leeds, it would offer them another attacking option after losing Raphinha to Barcelona. The Whites have been looking for a new striker all summer, with Patrick Bamford still the only senior number nine on the books.
TBR’s View: Leeds Need To Get Kalimuendo Deal Done
Leeds need a new striker and they need one in the door quickly. We saw last season how much they suffered with Bamford and they cannot afford to let that sort of injury impact them again.
Kalimuendo looks to be a talented player as well. The striker netted 13 times while out on loan with Lens last season and at just 20, he is certainly a prospect for the future.
Leeds have lost two big players this summer in Phillips and Raphinha but Jesse Marsch has also been backed by Victor Orta and co. If they can get this deal for Kalimuendo over the line, then you’d have to say it’s been a decent enough summer for the club.
