Mateusz Klich has been an important player during Marcelo Bielsa’s reign as Leeds United manager and that has continued at the start of the new season.
The 29-year-old has started in all six Championship matches to date, while also featuring in the Carabao Cup win over Salford City.
He’s a central midfielder that plays a box-to-box role for the Whites and constantly joins in with attacks.
Klich has made a relatively slow start though by the standards he set last year, as his only goal so far came in the cup against Salford and he’s resisted only one assist.
The Poland international scored 10 times and supplied nine assists across all competitions last season for the Yorkshire giants.
He’s not quite found the magic touch in front of goal at the beginning of the new campaign and it’s frustrating some supporters.
But the £1.5million signing (Yorkshire Evening Post) will come good for Leeds and he should keep his spot after the international break.

Klich is most importantly continuing to press forward and recently it’s just not quite happening for him in terms of end product.
But the attacking playmaker is still making chances for his side and his immense energy in the centre of the park is a key part of the team’s success.
He’s been a real consistent performer that fits in well with Bielsa’s style of play and it would be no surprise if the goals start to flow for him in the coming months.
