Journalist claims 'amazing' Leeds player is now 'annoyed' and could leave Elland Road in January

Journalist Dean Jones has said that Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich could be on his way out in January after falling down the pecking order.

Klich has been a key player for Leeds in recent seasons but this year has dipped down the ladder somewhat. Jesse Marsch signed the likes of Tyler Adams and Brandon Aaronson in the summer. Klich, meanwhile, has yet to start a game despite featuring 11 times in the league.

And speaking to GiveMeSport, journalist Dean Jones believes that Klich will be frustrated with his game time, meaning a move in January could be on the cards.

“It makes sense that he would probably be annoyed at the moment, particularly over the fact that he hasn’t made it to the World Cup with Poland,” Jones told GiveMeSport.

“That’ll be playing on his mind once they return to action too. I think Klich could be one that goes in January.”

Despite being dubbed ‘amazing‘ for his ‘first-class’ attitude when playing for the Leeds 21s, Klich has been unable to convince Jesse Marsch of his place in the starting XI.

Klich also missed out on the Poland squad and come January, may well seek a way out of Elland Road.

TBR’s View: Leeds and Klich may have come to an end

Sometimes clubs just move on and it’s time for a player to find a way out and that’s what seems to be happening here with Mateusz Klich.

He’s been a loyal and trusted player for some time at Leeds and if anything, he probably deserves to be treated with the respect to ensure he finds a good move out of the club.

For Klich, it will now be about landing somewhere we he’s going to feature. Whether that be in England, or abroad, remains to be seen.
