One of the most concerning sights for Leeds United fans this past weekend may have actually come at a Premier League ground.
Brighton’s 2-0 victory over Norwich saw Graham Potter’s men pull further away from the bottom three. But there was a worrying moment for the Seagulls involving summer signing Adam Webster.

Webster – who cost £20 million, according to the Guardian – was stretchered off during the first-half of the win with an ankle injury. It remains to be seen how long the defender will be out for.
Leeds would certainly be forgiven for being particularly keen to see Webster make a speedy recovery. The longer he is sidelined for, surely the more likely it is that Brighton will decide to recall Ben White in January.

The Premier League side may well have held discussions about White’s future before Webster sustained an injury. They would have arguably been foolish not to.
White has been a revelation at Elland Road. Leeds boast the best defensive record in the Championship, and the youngster is the one defender to have featured in every game.
He seems to have Leeds fans raving about his performance every time he steps out onto the pitch. And it appears to only be a matter of time before he is playing in the Premier League.
Leeds will have everything crossed for Webster
Leeds supporters will be hoping that that top flight chance comes next season – perhaps, even with Marcelo Bielsa’s side – and thus, they will be counting down the hours until the January window closes while he is still at Elland Road.
The likelihood of his parent club recalling him will only increase if Webster is out for a long spell. Potter has a good group of centre-backs available to him. But he may want additional cover if the former Bristol City man does not make a speedy recovery.
White’s form suggests that he is already ready for the top flight. But Leeds will be desperately hoping that he does not get the chance to prove himself at the highest level until next season.
Webster’s injury proving to be not too serious may provide a boost to those hopes.
