Leeds United youngster Robbie Gotts is becoming used to having to endure long spells on the bench before he gets a chance to make a debut.
Gotts was named in the matchday squad 35 times before Marcelo Bielsa handed him his first appearance for the Whites.

And following his loan switch to Lincoln City in the summer, he was named on the bench five times before he was promoted to the starting lineup by Michael Appleton for their latest game on Tuesday.
Unfortunately for the 20-year-old – who played at right-back – it proved to be a difficult evening for himself and Lincoln.

The Imps were beaten 3-1. And Gotts’s time on the pitch came to an end after just 64 minutes shortly after Portsmouth had gone 3-0 up.
It would be unfair to place a considerable amount of blame on the Leeds youngster. But it appear that his replacement Harry Anderson enjoyed a lot more success once he was introduced. It was Anderson who provided the assist for Lincoln’s goal.
TBR View: Gotts has quality to bounce back
Appleton will surely not write off Gotts off the back of one appearance. He is a player who shone when playing against Arsenal in the FA Cup on his senior debut in January.
On that occasion, Gotts was deployed in the middle of the park. So perhaps, Appleton may need to consider whether right-back is the position that brings the best out of him.
That versatility will surely boost the likelihood of Gotts bouncing back quickly. And Leeds fans will know that it should come as absolutely no surprise if he goes on and proves a real point to anyone willing to doubt him after just one appearance.
