Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah has taken to Twitter to express his delight after England’s under-21 win on Tuesday night, with the Leeds United loanee admitting that the feeling is unreal after scoring a hat-trick.
Nketiah went into this international break with a point to prove. He is yet to start a league game since moving to Elland Road on loan in the summer.

He scored a goal for Aidy Boothroyd’s men last week. And he followed that up with an outstanding performance at Stadium MK as England beat Austria 5-1.
Nketiah’s first goal saw the youngster get the faintest of touches on a header to divert the ball past the goalkeeper. His second saw the 20-year-old guide a brilliant cross into the bottom corner with a fantastic header.

And he completed his treble after the break. The youngster smashed the ball home from six yards out as he once again got on the end of a cross.
There was even a chance for Nketiah to add a fourth when Rhian Brewster was brought down inside the box. However, the striker’s effort was superbly saved, and he was substituted almost immediately after.
He certainly returns to Leeds having staked a real claim to end that wait for a league start. Marcelo Bielsa tends to remain loyal to those who have the shirt. But Nketiah could have hardly done more to catch the Leeds boss’ eye.
And after the game, Nketiah took to social media to comment on the win and his hat-trick, which takes his under-21 record to eight goals in eight caps…
