Leeds fans will be thrilled with Clarke's comments after earning debut
Leeds United have shone under Marcelo Bielsa but continue to hand chances to young talents, with Jack Clarke being the latest to benefit from that trend.
After shining for the Peacocks’ U18 and U23 sides, 17-year-old Clarke came off the bench to make his competitive debut in the draw with Brentford prior to the international break and his latest comments will go down a treat with supporters at Elland Road.
Speaking to The Mirror, Clarke confirmed that Premier League champions Manchester City expressed an interest in his services before he signed a first professional deal with Leeds on his 17th birthday last November.

Saying he has everything he could possibly want with the Yorkshire side is a surefire way to earn support from fans who have often seen young talents lured away by sides in the top-flight even if first-team football is not guaranteed.
It would have been easy to move to join Pep Guardiola’s side and earn a monstrous pay rise but it is extremely unlikely he would have found himself anywhere near the first-team squad and his decision shows maturity beyond his tender years.
Clarke now faces a fight to earn further chances with Bielsa’s side but his head is certainly in the right place.
