Leeds United hope to sign Arnaud Kalimuendo, with journalist Dean Jones telling Give Me Sport that some powerful figures behind the scenes at PSG think that the time is right to let the striker leave.
Kalimuendo is, after Charles De Ketelaere, the forward seemingly most heavily linked with a move to Elland Road this summer. In fact, reports have claimed that the Whites were close to agreeing a £21 million deal for the 20-year-old.

However, that was some weeks ago now. And Kalimunedo remains at Parc des Princes.
The problem Leeds face is that Kalimuendo appears to have won over new PSG boss Christophe Galtier. The striker has been involved in pre-season.

And Jones has suggested that some in the French capital would like the youngster to stay. But he added that there are plenty who would welcome a significant offer.
“There are some people there that want him to stay, but ultimately, there are very powerful people that believe that this could be a good moment to cash-in,” he told Give Me Sport.
“So, Leeds are hoping that that’s the one that comes along because he’s a really good young forward.”
Leeds hope to sign Kalimuendo
Leeds would really benefit from signing another attacking player before the window shuts. They have made a positive start to the new season, beating Wolves in their Premier League opener.
But complacency in the market almost led to the Whites being relegated last year. So now is not the time to get carried away with their opening day win.
Patrick Bamford endured a nightmare campaign with injury last year. Leeds need further depth in case anything similar happens this time around.
Kalimuendo has done well in Ligue 1 out on loan with Lens. And Leeds should take encouragement from the fact that some at PSG do want him to stay.
