Leeds have got to sign £20m-rated star right now, rather than let his head be turned

Leeds United produced an excellent performance to cruise past QPR on Saturday afternoon and Jack Harrison was the star of the show on the left flank – and Leeds have got to activate his permanent clause now, rather than wait.

Harrison, 22, made it five assists in six games by creating Tyler Roberts’ opener. He cut inside before laying Roberts off, who passed the ball into the net past Liam Kelly. He then scored his second of the season in the second 45.

Starting from the halfway line, Harrison dribbled the ball and with a bit of luck, he was able to curl the ball past Kelly from eight yards out. Though underrated, the stats do not lie and his form has become crucial to Leeds in recent weeks.

The former New York City star has been criticised aplenty since joining Leeds in the summer of 2018 for his first loan for Manchester City. Re-signing on loan in the summer, Harrison now has a permanent clause in his deal (Leeds official website).

It remains to be seen how much that clause is set at, but The Sun reckons he could be worth in the region of £15million and £20million. Leeds need to consider splashing out on Harrison now, before it is too late.

If the winger continues his stunning recent form for Leeds, scoring goals and producing an assist at a ratio of nearly one every game, then there is no doubt that bigger, Premier League clubs are going to be interested in Harrison.

Getting his future beyond the end of this season sorted would end any chances of that potential interest. Still young, Harrison is only going to improve and if he is bought for £15million – the chances are that he will have plenty of resale value.

Leeds need to get Harrison permanently act the clause in his loan deal as soon as possible, or find that his continued form will attract bigger clubs and will force Leeds to have to wave goodbye next summer.
