Pablo Hernandez has had to carry the hopes of Leeds United supporters on his shoulders for several years at Elland Road and there is no doubt he’s been their most influential player in recent times.
The attacking midfielder joined the Whites in 2016 on an initial loan deal before making his move permanent and he’s now made 150 appearances for the Yorkshire club.
He’s looked a class above at times in the Championship and there is no doubt that Leeds have had a problem of being over-reliant on him.
The playmaker scored 12 goals and supplied 12 assists across all competitions last season in a brilliant individual campaign, but couldn’t quite his side over the line for promotion.
But Marcelo Bielsa’s side suddenly look far more balanced this season with more players chipping in and there doesn’t seem to be as much reliance on Hernandez.

Hernandez is still a key player within the Leeds side that can make something happen out of nothing, plus he has the vision unlike most other players in the championship.
The Spaniard has six goals and six assists across all competitions this campaign, as he continues to play an influential role.
But he turns 35 in April and it’s about time that others around him step up to the plate.
Leeds wingers Jack Harrison and Helder Costa have put in some brilliant displays this campaign, while the likes of Patrick Bamford, Mateusz Klich and even Luke Ayling are also chipping in with goals to make the team look fare more balanced.
It’s certainly helped ease pressure on Hernandez and it looks like the best way to keep him in the side as he comes towards the back end of his career.
