Leeds goalkeeper Kiko Casilla could finally break clean sheet duck against Bolton

Leeds United sign goalkeeper Kiko Casilla in January from Real Madrid and he’s not had the perfect start to life in the Championship that he may have wished.

The 32-year-old arrived in England’s second-tier with a wealth of La Liga and European experience, but is still adjusting at Elland Road.

He’s featured in four league matches so far for Marcelo Bielsa’s side and is yet to keep a clean sheet.

Casilla should be desperate to end that duck sooner rather than later and has the perfect opportunity to do that at the weekend.

The Yorkshire giants host relegation candidates Bolton on Saturday afternoon and they are the lowest scorers in the division.

Bolton have netted just 21 goals as a team in 33 league matches so far and third-placed Leeds should be looking to keep them out.

Casilla has proven during his short spell at Leeds that he’s a great shot-stopper and that’s set to come in handy during the promotion run-in.

But the 6ft 3in colossus could definitely still improve with commanding his box and with the ball at his feet, which is why Bailey Peacock-Farrell was dropped to the number two option.

Casilla should get a huge boost from his first Leeds clean sheet and should breathe confidence into the entire back four.

Bolton are the least prolific goalscorers in the Championship and the goalkeeper just needs to stay alert for any chances their opponents create.
