Leeds fans wowed by Ezgjan Alioski performance in win against Tottenham

Leeds United beat Tottenham 3-1 on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter were amazed by the performance of their star Ezgjan Alioski.

The Whites moved onto the excellent points tally of 50 for the season with victory at Elland Road against Spurs, as they jumped up to ninth in the table.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side were at their fluent best for large spells of their game on weekend, with Stuart Dallas opening the scoring in the 13th minute.

Heung-Min Son equalised shortly after for Spurs, before Patrick Bamford got back in the goals just shy of half time. Whites substitute Rodrigo added a third to wrap up three points.

A selection of Leeds supporters on social media picked out Alioski as a standout performer, especially as they felt he did incredibly well one-on-one against Spurs attacker Gareth Bale.

The 29-year-old left-back was full of running throughout with his overlapping runs forward, which included an assist for Bamford’s goal.

He’s had criticism at certain times during the season. However, the full-back is one of numerous individuals that has shown they are good enough for top-flight football after stepping up from the Championship.
