Leeds United secured a vital 3-1 victory away to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday in the Championship – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were left praising defender Ben White for yet another eye-catching display.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side responded to the disappointment of a 1-1 draw with Luton in the last game, as they moved three points closer to automatic promotion with a win.

Patrick Bamford opened the scoring early for the Yorkshire club in the league fixture, before Kalvin Phillips doubled the advantage in the first-half with a long-range free-kick.

Adam Armstrong did cut the deficit for the hosts with a goal early in the second-half, but Mateuz Klich’s fifth goal of the season secured a win.

Leeds remain top of the table with five games left to play and crucially have a six-point cushion over third-placed Brentford to try protect.

The 22-year-old has been a sensation this campaign since he joined on loan from Brighton and is so composed with the ball at his feet, something he demonstrated once again against Blackburn.
