Every Leeds United fan remembers the genius of Tony Yeboah. His goals against Wimbledon and Liverpool have gone into folklore, with the Ghanaian earning iconic staus at Elland Road in just two seasons in Yorkshire.
Bought from Eintracht Frankfurt, Yeboah immediately won the hearts of Leeds fans. After two and a half years, he left the club to join Hamburger SV having scored 24 Premier League goals in 47 games – and 31 in 66 in all competitions.
Now, Yeboah’s son has burst onto the scene. Kalvin Yeboah has broken into newly-promoted Austrian side WSG Tirol’s first team, who won last season’s Bundesliga 2 to gain promotion. Yeboah is becoming a crucial part of the side.

Still only 19, the Ghana Under-20 ace firmly placed his name on the map on Wednesday night. Social media went mad for the exciting centre-forward, as he netted four times against one of Austria’s biggest sides – Austria Vienna – in a 5-2 Cup win.
All of Yeboah’s goals came within 12 yards out, boasting somewhat of a poacher’s instinct – something rather different to his father’s long-range shooting ability. But at 19, Kalvin boasts enormous talent and showed that against a very good side.
Leeds fans caught wind of Yeboah jr’s excellent display on Wednesday night and urged their club to chance their arm on Tony Yeboah’s son – with many dreaming of a combination of Yeboah and Erling Haaland, son of Alf Inge, up front.
