Leeds fans want to sell Bailey Peacock-Farrell sold amid Burnley interest

Leeds United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell could reportedly attract interest from top-flight club Burnley this summer – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have claimed they would be open to selling him.

The Mirror reports that Burnley may look to move for the shot-stopper in the current transfer window.

It is understood they may want the 22-year-old to become their number two goalkeeper for the upcoming season, with Nick Pope promoted to the first-choice role.

The report details that the Clarets expect to lose Tom Heaton this summer amid interest from Aston Villa, but they will need to step up their chase for him.

Joe Hart is another option in net for Burnley, but he will reportedly depart in the summer.

Peacock-Farrell has come through the academy at Elland Road and had a taste of first-team football.

He was the number one in Marcelo Bielsa’s team in the first half of last season, but made some sloppy errors and was eventually replaced.

The left-footed youngster certainly has plenty of potential and has made decent saves in a Leeds shirt, but needs to command his box better if possible.

A selection of Leeds supporters on social media have made it quite clear that they wouldn’t mind the departure of Peacock-Farrell in the summer.

The Northern Ireland international is stuck behind teammate Kiko Casilla right now for Leeds, but surely has a better chance of playing in the Championship.

Here are some Leeds fans commenting on Peacock-Farrell:
