Leeds fans want Jarrod Bowen signed after latest brace

A number of Leeds United fans have implored Andrea Radrizzani to find the money to make a move for Jarrod Bowen after the Hull City forward bagged another brace to help the Whites stay five points clear of the chasing pack.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side pulled clear of the sides in the play-off places by beating Reading 1-0 on Tuesday. And while West Brom’s win on Wednesday knocked them down to second, it appears to have been a fairly good evening overall for Leeds.

Preston North End had the chance to move back to within two points at the KCOM Stadium. However, they were thrashed 4-0 by Grant McCann’s side, with Bowen scoring two of the goals.

Both saw the 22-year-old find the back of the net from an acute angle. And he has now taken his tally to 12 league goals for the campaign. He also provided an assist as Hull won comfortably.

And several Leeds fans have admitted that they would love to see the wide-man added to their squad in January. Bowen has previously been on the club’s radar it seems, with the Daily Mail reporting last December that he was a potential target heading into January.

Unfortunately for Leeds, a move this winter looks to be out of the question. The Daily Mirror (24/11; page 72) suggested at the weekend that he is valued at around £20 million.

And unless Leeds can somehow agree a deal that is similar to the one that saw Helder Costa arrive on loan in the summer, it appears that promotion is a must if Bielsa’s men hope to have any chance.

Nevertheless, plenty of Whites supporters have suggested on social media that promotion would be in the bag if Bielsa was able to sign the forward when the window opens.
