Rangers are reportedly interested in signing Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe for a knockdown price of just £5million this summer, and Leeds fans are astonished at the reports.
The Sun have claimed that the 26-year-old is a target for Rangers if Steven Gerrard’s side choose to offload Alfredo Morelos, who continues to be linked with a move elsewhere after scoring 30 goals for the Gers last term.
Leeds have already sold Jack Clarke to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, though the teenager has been loaned back to Elland Road while Pontus Jansson is set to make a surprise move to Championship rivals Brentford.
Now, Leeds could also lose Roofe before the end of the summer, who scored the most goals for the Whites during the 2018-19 campaign – finding the back of the net 15 times despite being injured for two lengthy occasions.

Roofe has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Elland Road but it is believed that Leeds are in talks to offer the ex-West Brom star a new deal. But with interest from Rangers, it remains to be seen what Roofe decides.
Rangers can boast European football and the lure of playing under Gerrard, but Leeds are close to securing promotion from the Championship to the Premier League – and need Roofe to remain, in order to do that.
Leeds fans reacted to the reported news about Roofe on Twitter, with many shocked that Rangers would even consider the versatile attacker – while some want a swap deal for Morelos.
