Patrick Bamford completed 90 minutes in the dramatic win over Millwall on Saturday – and some Leeds United fans on Twitter raged at him for his poor display.

The 25-year-old centre-forward wasn’t quite at the races, as he offered little goal threat going forward and also missed a first-half penalty in poor fashion.

But the Whites did manage to secure a crucial three points, as they won 3-2 and leapfrogged Sheffield Untied to move back into the automatic spots.

Ben Thompson put the visitors in front at Elland Road after just 10 minutes, before Pablo Hernandez equalised for the hosts.

Ben Marshall’s penalty then put Millwall in front again shortly into the second-half, but Leeds found a way to win through Luke Ayling and then match-winnner Hernandez.

Bamford has scored seven goals in 18 games for Leeds this campaign, but has now gone three league games without a goal.

With Kemar Roofe closing in on a return from injury, the pressure is certainly on Bamford if he wants to keep his spot.

The left-footed striker had a bad day at the office against Millwall, but is playing his role in a promotion bid that is still in a good spot.
