Barry Douglas turned out for the Leeds Under-23s side on Friday – and many of the club’s supporters on Twitter were highly critical of his performance.
The 29-year-old defender stepped up his return from an injury layout with a runout for the young Whites, who ended up drawing 2-2 with Nottingham Forest.
Leeds fought from two goals down, with senior players such as Douglas and Gaetano Berardi included in the starting XI.
There was also some exciting young talents performing well such as Kun Temenuzhkov and they will be hoping they can eventually make a senior breakthrough at Elland Road.
Douglas has had his injury problems this season for the Yorkshire giants and played in just one of the last six league matches.
A selection of Leeds fans ripped into the left-back for his display in the Under-23s, where he showed some signs of rustiness and was bundled out of the way for one of Forest’s goal.

Ezjan Alioski has stepped in extremely well at left-back during Douglas’ absence and it will intriguing to see who manager Marcelo Bielsa now views as a first-choice full-back for the remainder of the campaign.
Here are some of the Leeds fans that were not impressed with Douglas:
