Leeds fans respond to Tottenham star’s Tweet, after attacker posts video

Tottenham Hotspur winger Jack Clarke has posted a video on Twitter as he continues training during the off-season to remain sharp ahead of a return to pre-season – and Leeds fans have responded, after noticing something.

Clarke, 19, broke through the Leeds academy under Marcelo Bielsa during the Argentine’s first season at the club – clocking up 25 appearances for the Whites and having a hand in four goals.

That tempted Tottenham into a permanent £9million (Goal) move for the England Under-20 international. He returned to Leeds on loan, but only managed three appearances during the first half of last season.

He went on loan to QPR in January having had his Leeds loan cut short – but only seven outings under Mark Warburton followed, failing to score or create. He posted a video on Twitter, though, looking sharp.

Eagle-eyed Leeds supporters will have spotted that throughout the video, Clarke is wearing Leeds shorts – more specifically, last season’s pink and grey away kit. His Leeds number, 47, is on the front.

Leeds supporters responded to the player’s post by applauding Clarke for sticking to his roots – with many declaring that he is “still Leeds”. Others discussed his future, with one fan suggesting he needs to leave Tottenham.
