Robbie Gotts continued the clamour surrounding his claims for a senior debut at Leeds United with an excellent goal for the Whites’ Under-23 side in a 5-1 win over Bolton – and Whites fans reacted to his Tweet after the match.

Gotts, 20, was crucial as Leeds earned a very comfortable 5-1 win over Bolton Wanderers in the Professional Development League. The youngster came on at half-time for Poland youth international Mateusz Bogusz.

A brace from Eddie Nketiah and goals from Gjanni Alioski and Jack Clarke saw Leeds run out winners. Gotts’ goal comes a matter of days after Marcelo Bielsa admitted he would understand if the midfielder left Leeds.

Indeed, Bielsa was quoted by Leeds Live as saying: “I would understand if he thought it was better for him to leave, I would understand this.” Gotts posted on Twitter after scoring again for the Whites, along with a video of the goal.

Of Leeds’ 22 Championship fixtures so far this season, Gotts has featured on the bench 14 times – but is yet to win a single minute of senior action. He was also on the bench for last season’s play-off semi-finals against Derby County.

Leeds fans reacted to his Tweet, which he posted after the 5-1 win over Bolton. Some Whites fans believe he should be set to win his debut for Bielsa’s side soon, while others congratulated him on his goal.
