Leeds fans respond to Bailey Peacock-Farrell farewell message

Bailey Peacock-Farrell posted a farewell message on Twitter after his move away from Elland Road was confirmed – and received a mixed response from Leeds United fans.

The Whites confirmed on their official website that the goalkeeper has joined Premier League side Burnley for an undisclosed fee.

He played 41 senior games after breaking into first-team contention, but have now made the move up to the top-flight.

The 22-year-old is a left-footed goalkeeper that can play out from the box and has great reflexes, but did lose his number one spot to Kiko Casilla last season when he joined in January.

Peacock-Farrell has sent an emotional message thanking Leeds for his spell with them and his hopeful the Yorkshire club go on to achieve promotion.

There has been a mixture of response to the youngster’s post, with some wishing him luck with his move to Burnley.

But others has sent harsh messages to him and expect him to struggle for minutes at Turf Moor.

Peacock-Farrell will definitely need to become more confident in commanding his box and collecting crosses, but he’s got potential.

The Northern Ireland international will leave a gap in the Leeds squad and it will be intriguing to see if a replacement is signed in the remainder of the window to challenge with Casilla.
