Leeds fans reply to Hadi Sacko farewell message

Hadi Sacko has posted a farewell message to Leeds United fans on Twitter – and some of the club’s supporters have responded with plenty of fond goodbyes.

The 25-year-old attacker has joined Turkish outfit Denizlispor on a two-year deal, with the club confirming the move on their official website.

He spent last season out on loan in Turkey with Ankaragucu and has now returned in pursuit of regular first-team action.

The right-winger played 60 times for Leeds at first-team level, but leaves with just three goals and four assists to his name at Elland Road.

Sacko is a speed machine that had the pace to frighten defenders, but his finishing and end product often let him down.

He’s posted a heartfelt farewell message on his official Twitter account and described it as an “honour” to play for Leeds.

Leeds moved on under Marcelo Bielsa last season without Sacko and he clearly didn’t feature in his first-team plans.

But he is still clearly a big favourite with the club’s fanbase and has received floods of positive messages after he posted about his departure.

The skilful wide player looks like he would always be welcome back at Elland Road and it will be intriguing to see if the 25-year-old does ever return to English football.
