A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to laud Sam Greenwood after the club posted a video showing the forward scoring a stunning free-kick in the Whites’ pre-season friendly with Guiseley on Tuesday.
Mark Jackson took charge of a very youthful Leeds side for their opening game of the summer.

But the lineup included a number of players who would have been hoping to catch the eye of Marcelo Bielsa.
Greenwood would have certainly been one of those. The 19-year-old did actually get the chance to make a first-team debut last season.
But the large majority of his football came with the under-23s. And he finished the season with 12 goals in Premier League 2.

A number of those goals came from dead-ball situations with Greenwood establishing himself as potentially the best free-kick taker at Thorp Arch.
So it would have come as no surprise that his first goal of the new campaign came from outside the box.
He found the top corner from around 20 yards. And that prompted plenty of Leeds fans to laud the teenager on social media.

The Whites posted a clip of the goal on Twitter. And many supporters suggested that he needs to feature more for the senior side this season.
