According to The Sun, the race is on for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips. Wolverhampton Wanderers lead Aston Villa and Burnley in the hunt for the midfielder, who is valued at around £30m by Leeds.
The Whites are desperate to keep Phillips at the club and plan to offer him a new deal. But until that contract extension has been signed, Wolves and other Premier League clubs will be lurking.
Headline calls Phillips a “contract rebel”

Phillips has proven his consistency as a holding midfielder for Marcelo Bielsa. And it is no surprise to see Premier League clubs keen on the 23-year-old, even after the deadline has passed.
But Leeds fans have hit back at this report as they believe Phillips is staying at Elland Road. Many pointed out the fact that his agent has said Phillips and the club will sit down to thrash out a new deal. Quite a few were riled by The Sun’s “contract rebel” line in the headline.
Here are some of the best tweets from Leeds fans after Phillips was linked with a January move to the Premier League.
